Woman From Bhopal Raped In Indore Hotel, Accused Held

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A woman from Bhopal, who was brought to the city on the pretext of job interview, was allegedly raped by the accused in a city hotel.  

The police rescued her from the hotel on getting her call on phone number 100.

Vijay Nagar police station in charge Chandrakant Patel informed Free Press that the woman lodged a complaint that she was searching for a job and met the accused Dhan Singh, a resident of Bhopal a few days ago. Singh promised to provide her with a job.

On Monday, he asked the woman to accompany him to Indore where her interview would be held.  They stayed in a hotel in the Vijay Nagar area where the accused allegedly made physical relations with her and threatened her with dire consequences when she opposed him.

The woman got scared and made a phone call on 100 number to get police help.

The Dial-100 team and the Vijay Nagar police station officials reached the hotel and arrested the accused from there. He was later taken to the police station and was booked under the relevant section of the BNS on the complaint of the woman. Patel said that the accused used to work with a liquor contractor in Bhopal and was unemployed for a few months.

When he met the woman, he lured her and brought her to the city. Further investigations are underway into the case.
