Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is the Crown Prince of Dubai, who arrived in New Delhi on April 8, 2025, for his first official visit to India. PM Narendra Modi, specially invited him to India. His two day visit will grow the strategic partnership between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

When he arrived at Palam Airport, Sheikh Hamdan was welcomed with a warm reception and a musical performance. Union Minister of State for Tourism and Petroleum & Natural Gas, Suresh Gopi, along with other senior leaders, welcomed him. The Crown Prince was accompanied by senior ministers, top government officials, and a delegation of prominent business leaders.

This visit can bring more cooperation in trade, investment, technology, and energy in two countries. Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal described the visit as a milestone.

Who Is Sheikh Hamdan?

He is also known as ‘Fazza’ on social media, Sheikh Hamdan has been the Crown Prince of Dubai since 2008. He is also the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence. 

Sheikh Hamdan married Sheikha Shaikha bint Saeed bin Thani Al Maktoum in 2019 and is a father of four twins named Rashid and Sheikha (born in 2021), Mohammad (2023), and his youngest daughter Hind, who was born in March 2025.

Apart from his responsibilities and roles for the countries he also gives time to his hobbies. Like he is a horse rider and won a gold medal at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in France in 2014. He is also a skydiver, scuba diver, and cyclist. He also liked poetry and photography. He shares glimpses of his life on Instagram account.

According to media reports his net worth is around $400 million (approximately Rs 33,500 crore), He also owns luxury cars such as Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and a golden Mercedes. He also owns private jets, superyachts, over 1,000 horses, 120 camels, and numerous exotic pets.
