Gauri Khan hates this film of Shah Rukh Khan, was his ‘worst performance ever’, the film is…, actress was…
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan have been married for 30 years now and the couple is known as a power couple in Bollywood. Gauri appeared on the first season of Koffee with Karan in 2005. During the show, when Gauri was asked to name a film of Shah Rukh that she hates, she named his 2002 film Shakti: The Power. However, she also said, “I don’t think I am critical of Shah Rukh. I mean if any of his films is bad then there is no need to praise it. If it is bad then he has to accept it.”
She further added, “As a viewer, if I feel he has overreacted, I should tell him. Karan then asked Gauri to name some of SRK’s bad movies. Gauri replied, “No, many of his movies have been good and I haven’t seen many of his bad movies. I don’t remember.” Karan then mentioned SRK’s movie Shakti: The Power, to which Gauri replied, “Yes, it was completely unbearable. It was his worst performance.”
Let us tell you that Shakti: The Power was released in 2002 and it had Karisma Kapoor, Nana Patekar, and Sanjay Kapoor in the lead roles. The film was a remake of the 1998 Telugu film Anthapuram, which was based on the biography of American writer Betty Mahmoody. In the film, Shahrukh is seen in the role of Jai Singh who helps Nandini (Karisma Kapoor) run away from her dangerous father-in-law Narasimha (Nana Patekar).
