The temperature in the district is rising now. It is said that the fire broke out due to the scorching heat, but the exact reason for the outburst of the fire was not known. As of now, no loss of lives has been reported and the work of extinguishing the fire continued till late afternoon.
Officials said that the fire started from the Kala Kot area of the fort. The fire spread from all sides of the fort due to the wind. The wooden logs and bridge of the Baradari also got engulfed in the clutches of the fire.
On receiving the information, Daulatabad police, Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) officers and fire brigade officers rushed to the spot.
