Ajay Devgn, who plays the central character, IRS officer Amay Patnaik, shared his thoughts on the current state of the film industry in the post-pandemic era. “We’re still struggling regarding theatrical releases in the post-pandemic era, so we’re adapting to it,” Ajay remarked. When asked about his character’s similarities with his real-life ambitions, he humorously said, “Itni padhai maine ki nahi. I learnt everything from my dad and this industry.” Devgn’s portrayal of the strong, silent, and determined tax officer in Raid 2 has already created a buzz, and he emphasized how different the film’s tone is from his earlier roles.

Vaani Kapoor, who joins the cast in Raid 2, spoke about venturing into a genre she had never explored before. “I never had the opportunity to dive into a genre like this,” Vaani shared. Saurabh Shukla, known for his remarkable performances, humourously added how he wasn't expecting to part of the sequel, "Itna sab kuch lutne ke baad bhi mere paas Raid 2 aayi.” he said.

Director Raj Kumar Gupta shared his vision behind the film, emphasizing how Raid 2 takes a deeper dive into the world of white-collar crime. “Ajay is the only superstar I’ve worked with,” Gupta said, speaking highly of the actor’s professionalism. He also revealed that the inspiration for the story of Raid 2 came from real-life interactions with tax officers in Mumbai and Delhi. “After Raid, a lot of officers from Mumbai and Delhi met me, narrating their own stories of raids, from which the story of Raid 2 came out,” he added.
