Born and bought up in Faridabad, Suhani Bhatnagar was a child actor who performed in various plays. She was also seen in various advertisements and continued to pursue the same for a while. On the movie front, Nitesh Tiwari’s 2016 film Dangal was her first and last movie.
Suhani was among the 11,000 girls who auditioned for the young role of Geeta and Babita Phogat. She ended up portraying the role of Babita, becoming a widespread name for her performance. Sanya Malhotra played the younger version of Babita in Dangal. Casting director Mukesh Chhabra selected her for her innocence and that how much she resembled like Sanya.
Released in 2016, Aamir Khan starrer Dangal grossed Rs 2,070 crore globally, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film of all time. The movie became a massive success not just in India but in China, Japan and South Korea as well, (with changes done according to the audiences need).

Following Dangal’s success, Suhani received numerous offers after her impeccable portrayal of Babita Phogat in the film. However, she decided to take a break from Bollywood and instead focused on completing her studies. In an interview, she revealed that she would be back in films after completing her education.
While speaking to TV India Live, Suhani said, “Apart from the films, I have done shoots, fashion shows and events. But right now, I am not focusing on films because I am concentrating on my studies. I am in 10th grade right now. After my basic education, for sure I want to do films, and I want to star as the lead.”
Suhani Bhatnagar passed away at the age of 19 on February 17th, 2024. The actress had been ill for quite a some time and was receiving treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in Delhi. According to various reports, Suhani passed away due to medical complications, specifically Dermatomyositis, a rare inflammatory disease.
