Maruti Suzuki Updates Grand Vitara with 6 Airbags Standard, New Features and Hybrid Variant
New Delhi — Maruti Suzuki India has updated its popular mid-size SUV, the Grand Vitara, with enhanced safety features, new premium additions, and an expanded variant lineup. The 2025 Grand Vitara now comes with 6 airbags as standard across all variants, marking a major step forward in occupant safety.
Prices for the updated Grand Vitara start at Rs 11.42 lakh (ex-showroom), and the SUV is now available in 18 variants. A new Strong Hybrid Delta+ variant, priced at Rs 16.99 lakh, has been introduced to make the hybrid option more accessible.
The Grand Vitara’s safety package now includes Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Hold Assist, front and rear disc brakes with ABS and EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and 3-point seatbelts for all passengers.
Catering to evolving customer preferences, Maruti has also added a host of premium features. These include an 8-way powered driver seat, electronic parking brake (for 6AT variants), air purifier with PM2.5 display, LED cabin lamps, rear door sunshades, and R17 precision-cut alloy wheels.
Responding to high demand for a panoramic sunroof, Maruti has introduced new variants— Zeta (O), Zeta+ (O), Alpha (O), and Alpha+ (O)**—with sunroof availability across a wider price range.
The Grand Vitara also offers Maruti’s ALLGRIP Select AWD system, now paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, enhancing both capability and driving comfort.
All variants are now E20 fuel compliant, supporting the government’s cleaner fuel initiative.
Premium features such as a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, wireless charging, and a Clarion sound system remain available on higher trims.
“With safety becoming a top priority, we’ve made six airbags standard and added more premium features to meet evolving customer expectations,” said Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India.
The updated Grand Vitara continues to be offered with Smart Hybrid, Strong Hybrid, and ALLGRIP AWD options, aiming to cater to a wide spectrum of Indian SUV buyers.
