Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis Inaugurated Several Key Initiatives For Mumbai Police
Mumbai: The Maharashtra CM, Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated several key facilities in the presence of the Minister of State, Yogesh Kadam, for the Mumbai police. The initiative was shared in an X post on April 7 by the CP Mumbai police.
Their facilities launched by the CM are Parksite Police Station Building, Video Conferencing System, Cyber and Crime Data Labs, Deployment of Forensic Vehicles, Launch of Official ‘X’ Handles, Women & Child Support Cell, Cyber Helpline Awareness Video Launch, and Mission Karmayogi Inauguration.
Here Is The Key facilities
Parksite Police Station Building: A modern two-storey police station on a 6,500 sq. ft. plot, inaugurated with state-of-the-art facilities.
Video Conferencing System: 208 video conferencing systems installed for officers, part of the Nirbhaya Safe City ITVC initiative.
Cyber and Crime Data Labs: 3 Cyber Labs, 1 Social Media Lab, and 1 Crime Data Lab launched under the Nirbhaya Scheme to strengthen cybercrime investigations.
Deployment of Forensic Vehicles: 5 Tata Winger Mobile Forensic Units, with 29 specialized kits, deployed for on-site forensic exams under BNNS Section 176(3), which mandates on-site forensic examination and videography at crime scenes.
Official ‘X’ Handles: All 93 police stations and 13 zonal offices now have official ‘X’ handles to highlight police work and ensure timely communication.
Women & Child Support Cell: A dedicated cell was inaugurated under the Nirbhaya Scheme to enhance the safety and well-being of women at the police station level.
Cyber Helpline Awareness Video Launch: A public awareness video was launched to promote cyber helpline 1930 and inform citizens about cyber fraud.
Mission Karmayogi Inauguration: 500 Master Trainers to train 40,000 police personnel across six phases, enhancing professionalism and service delivery.
