Panchkula panchayat polls: Ward-wise draft voter list to be released from April 11
Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Monika Gupta today said for the byelections of panch and sarpanch in the Panchayati Raj institutions, the voter list must be clean and error-free. Every resident of the district who has completed 18 years of age should be included on the list.
The DC said after the revision of voter lists for Panchayati Raj institutions, the final list would be published. She informed that the ward-wise draft voter list would be published from April 11. Claims and objections regarding the voter list can be submitted to the District Election Officer on April 18. The DEO will address these claims and objections by April 22. Appeals against these decisions can be made before the DC and DEO by April 25, and such appeals will be resolved by May 6. The final voter list will be published on May 13.
She further informed that byelections for the post of panch will be held in all four blocks of Panchkula district. Additionally, the byelections for the post of sarpanch will be held in Sabilpur village of Morni block and Mirapur village of Raipur Rani block. the byelections for panch’s posts will also be held in Batour, Kami, Shyamtu, Tapria (Barwala block); Baldwala (Morni block); and Bahbalpur, Banwali, Bhood, Debar, Mandpa, Masumpur, Mauli, Natwal, Rampur Thado, Shahjanpur, Sultanpur, Tharwa, and Dandlawad (Raipur Rani block).
