Ahead of PM’s visit, BJP in action mode again

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s April 14 visit to Haryana, the state unit of the BJP has got into action mode once again. Close on the heels of the state-level workshop for the BJP leaders at Samalkha in Panipat, the saffron party has come out with another idea to gear up the party cadre for the visit.

The party has chalked out a two-day ‘active member sammelan’ on April 8-9 across all 90 Assembly segments across the state. A panel of three senior leaders has been prepared to address workers. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will lead the senior leaders.

Mohan Lal Badoli, BJP chief, said, “The triple-engine government in the state is carrying out development works at thrice the speed following the principle of ‘Viksit Bharat-Viksit Haryana’."

While the administrative machinery is working overtime for the visit, the party is holding meetings to assign duties to office-bearers.

Meanwhile, source said thousands of people from across the state were expected to attend PM’s programmes. While people from 12 districts would attend the programme in Yamunanagar, people from 15 districts were expected to be in attendance in Hisar.

Party sources said the visit would be utilised as a thanksgiving event by the party for thanking Haryanvis for electing the BJP for the third time.

Modi will gift 2 mega projects to state

“People of Haryana will welcome the Prime Minister with open hearts. Modi will gift two mega projects — inauguration of the Hisar Airport and laying the foundation stone of the 800 MW power unit at Yamunanagar — to Haryana.”

— Mohan Lal Badoli, BJP chief
