The 200 KM journey was completed in two hours
The 200 kmph journey from Gaya to Dhanbad was completed in one hour and 57 minutes. On the return journey, it reached Gaya from Dhanbad in one hour and 48 minutes. It takes two hours 32 minutes to reach Gaya from Dhanbad by Rajdhani Express and two hours 45 minutes by Vande Bharat.
With the success of the speed trial of the Railway General Manager, a new chapter of achievements of East Central Railway has been added. This will pave the way for faster and safer travel in future.
Inspection vehicles, a brake vehicle and a third AC coach were attached at the front and back of the General Manager’s trial run. Speed trials were conducted by boarding different inspection vehicles. DDU DRM Rajesh Gupta was present from DDU to Gaya and Dhanbad DRM Kamal Kishore Sinha was present during the inspection from Gaya to Dhanbad.
