Ambedkar Jayanti 2025: Panvel Municipal Corporation Applauded For Inclusive Planning; Public Resolution Passed Honouring Civic Efforts

In a planning meeting held ahead of the Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations, the Panvel Municipal Corporation received strong public appreciation for its inclusive and proactive approach.

A formal resolution of commendation was passed unanimously, recognizing the civic body and Commissioner Mangesh Chitale for their efforts in organizing a meaningful and large-scale celebration with community involvement.

The resolution was proposed by former corporator Prakash Binedar, who praised the corporation’s dedication to honoring Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy through a well-structured program of cultural events, student competitions, and civic engagement. Binedar noted that several long-standing demands related to the celebration were addressed thoughtfully and that the administration had taken tangible steps to implement them.

“The Corporation has not only upheld the spirit of Dr. Ambedkar’s vision but has also ensured that the celebration reflects true public participation. For this, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Municipal Commissioner and the entire team,” Binedar said, expressing gratitude on behalf of local representatives and community members.

The resolution received unanimous support from all attendees, including elected representatives, civic officials, and organization leaders present at the meeting.

The planning meeting, chaired by Commissioner Chitale, also finalized arrangements for a grand procession, student activities, and the foundation-laying ceremony for the renovation of the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Bhavan, along with the unveiling of the Constitution’s Preamble at the Municipal Headquarters.

"This gesture of public acknowledgment marks a rare moment of unity and collaboration between citizens and civic authorities, setting the tone for a respectful and vibrant celebration on April 14," said an official.
