What Exactly Happened?
According to a report by Lokmat, the altercation broke out between the supporters of former Bihar Congress president Akhilesh Prasad Singh and former MLA Amit Kumar Tunna. The chaos erupted at the Sadakat Ashram party office when Gandhi was holding discussions with the senior state leaders on election preparations.
The tensions escalated when one of Singh's supporters allegedly misbehaved with Tunna. This triggered a violent reaction from Tunna’s supporters, who chased and physically assaulted the rival worker.
Rahul Gandhi's Visit Ended in Turmoil
Earlier today, Gandhi arrived in Patna after participating in the “Roko Nirgaman, Naukri Do Yatra” led by Kanhaiya Kumar in Begusarai. He addressed the party's Constitution Protection Council at the Shri Krishna Memorial Hall before arriving at the state office.
While the meeting at the Congress headquarters was meant to focus on discussing election strategies, the infighting stole the spotlight. After wrapping up his engagements, Gandhi left for Patna airport and departed for Delhi.
