The viral footage shows the customs officials and the passengers slapping each other. In a disturbing moment, a female customs officer can be seen pulling one of the women passengers by her hair and dragging her across the terminal. Authorities later confirmed that the conflict stemmed from concerns over the import of surveillance equipment and the declaration of high-value items.
As per the report, the customs authorities have since detained one of the women for allegedly assaulting a government official. A formal case has been registered into the matter and legal proceedings are currently underway.
Earlier, in a separate incident, former Quetta commissioner Iftikhar Jogezai and his daughter were offloaded from a Quetta-Islamabad flight after they allegedly misbehaved with the airline staff.
As per aviation sources, tensions escalated during the check-in and worsened mid-air, when a flight attendant requested them to fasten their seat belts and wait for the meal service to resume. The official’s daughter reportedly used abusive language and later assaulted a flight attendant.
The pilot promptly returned the aircraft to the runway and ultimately called in the Airport Security Force (ASF). Despite attempts to escort them off the plane, the woman refused to cooperate and allegedly punched the attendant, causing injuries.
