MP Shocker! Man Held Hostage, Brutally Beaten By Girlfriend’s Family In Morena; Dumped Outside Village In Critical Condition
Morena (Madhya Pradesh): A young man was allegedly held hostage and brutally assaulted by the family of his girlfriend in Madhya Pradesh's Morena rural area. The man was left in a critical condition and dumped outside the village after being beaten for nearly 24 hours.
After struggling for hours, the victim somehow reached Porsa police station and reported the incident. Police took him for medical examination and admitted him to the hospital. An FIR is being registered against the girl’s uncle and other relatives.
According to information, the victim has been identified as Sandeep Jatav, a resident of Bhakroli currently living in Ambah. The sources said that Sandeep was in a relationship with a girl from Gormi. The couple had secretly married at a temple some days ago. When the girl's family learnt about it, they sent her to her maternal uncle’s house in Senthara Ahir. On learning this, Sandeep, along with his friend Akash, went to meet her. However, the girl’s uncle and his relatives caught them in the village.
Both young men were thrashed on the spot, their bike was damaged, and their phones were snatched. Later, they were taken to a house, tied with ropes, and beaten mercilessly. Akash was released after two hours, but Sandeep was kept overnight and continuously beaten with sticks. He was denied food and water for nearly 24 hours. When his condition worsened, the family left him unconscious outside the village.
Reached the police station in a wound-up condition.
Sandeep, after being thrashed and left unconscious, somehow woke up and made it to the Porsa police station. Upon reaching the station, the police officials saw his condition, gave him water and filed an FIR based on his statements. Investigation into the matter has begun.
