Heartbreaking Video: Dog Beaten Mercilessly To Death In UP's Agra

Agra: A dog is said to be a man's best friend. However, every next day we come across cases related to animal cruelty. This is mainly because, we do not have stringent laws against violence against animals. One more such case has come to light from Uttar Pradesh's Agra. A CCTV footage of a man running behind a stray dog and thrashing it with a stick has surfaced.

The incident reportedly took place on Sunday in the Shyam Nagar area of the city. The video of the CCTV footage has gone viral on social media. After the video went viral, it sparked outrage among the locals.

The residents of the area have lodged a complaint in Trans Yamuna police station and the police is investigating the matter.

Punishment For Killing A Stray Dog In India

Under Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) Section 325 says that anyone who commits mischief by killing, poisoning, maiming or rendering useless any animal shall be punished with a prison sentence which may extend up to five years, or with fine, or both.
