IMD has issued a severe heat alert in these 11 states including Delhi, know the condition of your state

Today’s weather: IMD said on Sunday night that the maximum temperature in Northwest India, Maharashtra and South Peninsular Plateau may increase by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius during the next 4 days.

Weather Update: The onslaught of intense heat has begun. The latest weather conditions suggest that the heat wave may haunt at least 10 states for the entire week. People will have to face heatwaves and humidity in these states, including some parts of Uttar Pradesh. IMD i.e. India Meteorological Department has given such indications. However, there are chances of rain in the hilly states on 9th and 10th April.

Where will the heat increase

IMD said on Sunday night that the maximum temperature in North West India, Maharashtra and South Peninsular Plateau may increase by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius during the 4 days. After this, there is a possibility of a drop of 2-3 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Central India is also expected to increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius during the 4 days. In Gujarat, an increase of about 2 degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature can be seen during the 2 days.

These states will be very hot

The weather department has said that heat wave may continue in some parts of Gujarat till 10 April. At the same time, there are chances of severe heat wave in some parts of Saurashtra and Kutch till 7 April. There are chances of heat wave in Rajasthan till 10 April. Whereas, severe heat wave may continue from 7 to 9 April. Heat wave conditions may develop in Himachal Pradesh till 7 April, in Haryana and Chandigarh till 10 April.

Apart from these, heatwave is expected in Punjab from 7 to 10 April, Delhi from 7 and 8 April, West Uttar Pradesh from 7 to 9 April, Madhya Pradesh from 8 to 10 April.

It will rain here

According to the Meteorological Department update, there may be sporadic rain in Kerala, Mahe till April 7, Karnataka till April 8, East and Northeast India till April 10. There is a possibility of hailstorm in Bihar on 9 April. On 9 and 10 April, there may be sporadic to light or moderate rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad.

Scorching heat

Uttar Pradesh is expected to have higher than normal temperatures and severe heat in the months of April, May and June and a strong heat wave is also forecast. Meteorological Department official Atul Kumar Singh told PTI Bhasha on Sunday, ‘During these months, the maximum temperature is expected to be higher than normal in the entire Uttar Pradesh. According to the forecast, the day temperature is expected to remain consistently above 40 degrees Celsius.

Night temperatures are also expected to remain abnormally high.

Singh said, ‘The minimum temperature recorded at night is also expected to be above normal.’ Bundelkhand region is expected to be the center of this severe heat. Seven districts of Jhansi and Chitrakootdham division in the state come under Bundelkhand. On the other hand, severe heat is also expected in the districts of western UP bordering Rajasthan.
