Mumbai News: Flyover Slab Collapses On Car's Windscreen In Ghatkopar (VIDEO)

Mumbai: A recent video showcased a horrifying incident of a concrete fragment from an overhead flyover falling on a moving car below that pierced through the windshield. The incident reportedly took place in Ghatkopar according to the post; the exact location is unknown. No one was injured in the accident, according to reports.

An X user posted it on their page about this incident that took place couple of days prior where a policeman readily present at the location took a look at the incident while a man, who could be the driver of the said car, visibly disturbed closes the car door, the car's windscreen is peirced as the concrete beam fall onto the movie car below. Miraculously there were no injuries according to the X post.

The X user, @zoru75, posted a video with the caption, "Don't spend all your time looking down for potholes Keep an eye out above too This is Mumbai Anything & everything can fall from anywhere This video is from about 2 days ago. Thankfully no one was injured. But it's only a matter of time before Mumbai's luck runs out"

The video from April 4 displays a scene in which several people, including a police officer, are next to a car with a concrete beam sticking out of its broken windshield. The video starts with the driver closing the door and walking to the front of the car in obvious disbelief, where the officer is already waiting. A senior woman, appearing to be a bystander, is close by, watching the wrecked vehicle. While the driver and officer photograph the car, the camera angles upward, exposing an area of the overhead bridge with a piece of concrete missing. Nonetheless, it is still uncertain if this absent segment is the one that landed on the vehicle.

The Confusion About Location

The event occurred in a relatively crowded area, but accurate details about it are not available. The X post from @zoru75 indicates that the site is in Ghatkopar beneath a flyover, while a Reddit post by user nyxxxtron in subreddit r/Mumbai claims the location is Mira Road, with the concrete beam originating from ongoing Metro construction.
