School Holiday 2025: In Madhya Pradesh, summer vacation has been declared for students from 1st May to 15th June and for teachers from 1st May to 31st May.

School Holiday 2025: There is good news for school students. Like March, April is also going to get the benefit of a lot of holidays. Apart from Sunday in April, there will be holidays in schools of different states due to Mahavir Jayanti, Baisakhi Festival, Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti and Parshuram Jayanti.

The Telangana government has announced school holidays for 3 days in all government and private educational institutions from 12 to 14 April 2025. Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh School Education Department has also announced summer vacations.

How many holidays in which state in April

  • In Punjab, schools will remain closed on Shri Guru Nabha Das Ji’s birthday on 8th April, Mahavir Jayanti on 10th April, Vaisakhi on 13th April (Sunday), Ambedkar Jayanti on 14th April, Good Friday on 18th April, Lord Parshuram’s birth anniversary on 29th April.
  • UP schools will remain closed due to Mahavir Jayanti on 10th April, Baisakhi festival on 13th April, Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti on 14th April and Good Friday on 18th April.
  • Rajasthan will have holidays due to Mahavir Jayanti on 10th April, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jayanti on 11th April, Baisakhi festival on 13th April, Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti on 14th April and Good Friday on 18th. Similarly, in other states too, schools will remain closed on different occasions in April.

46 days summer vacation in MP

According to the order issued by the Madhya Pradesh Government School Education Department, summer vacation has been declared for students from May 1 to June 15 and for teachers from May 1 to May 31. These holidays will be applicable to all private and government schools in the state simultaneously. Along with summer vacation, the government has also announced the dates of Dussehra, Diwali and winter vacations. Dussehra vacation will be from October 1 to October 3, Diwali vacation from October 18 to October 23 and winter vacation from December 31 to January 4.

Himachal Pradesh Summer Vacation

  • This time the summer vacation in the schools of Himachal Pradesh will be of 32 days from 12 July to 12 August. Earlier it used to be of 38 days from 22 June to 29 July. 4 holidays of April have been stopped, instead summer break will be from 1 to 8 June. Winter break will be from 1 to 8 January.
  • Schools of Nalagarh, Fatehpur, Nagarota Surian, Indora, Paonta Sahib, Kala Amb and Una district will have 30 days summer vacation from 1 to 30 June and monsoon vacation from 3 to 12 August.
  • Monsoon break in summer and winter closing schools of Kullu district will be from 20 July to 12 August.Monsoon break in summer and winter closing schools of Kullu district will be from 20 July to 12 August and winter break will be given from 1 to 14 January.
  • There will be 8 days holiday during Dussehra in Kullu, while 4 days holiday will be given on Diwali. Winter Vacation Schools will have winter break from 1 January to 11 February. Monsoon break will be from 7 to 12 August, while festival break will be given for 4 days around Diwali.
