Meet Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna’s son Aarav, who left home at 15, does his laundry, uses second hand…
Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna’s son, Aarav Bhatia, who recently turned 22, has mostly stayed away from the limelight and paparazzi. However, during the Eid celebrations at actress Huma Qureshi’s home, Aarav was spotted with a mystery girl. Pictures and videos from the event quickly went viral, and fans couldn’t help but notice striking similarities between him and his legendary grandfather, Rajesh Khanna.
Aarav has been a hot topic on social media since then. His parents have made it clear from the beginning that he has never shown interest in acting or movies. Since childhood, his interests have been in sports and martial arts. What many may not know is that Aarav is a trained martial artist and began training at the age of four.
However, Aarav’s interest lies in fashion designing. Akshay Kumar, in one of his interviews has said that his son wants to establish a successful career in fashion. At Shikhar Dhawan’s talk show, Kumar was quoted as saying, “I am happy the way Twinkle and I have brought up Aarav; he is a very simple boy. My daughter, on the other hand, likes clothes… We never forced him to do anything; he is interested in fashion; he doesn’t want to be a part of cinema. He came to me and said that ‘I don’t want to do films.’ I said, ‘This is your life, do what you want to do’.”
Aarav left home when he was 15 to study abroad. He had his independent life away from media. He is currently pursuing a course in fashion designing. The superstar further spoke on how his champ did own his laundry and dishes.
He said, “My son Aarav is studying at the university in London. He left home at the age of 15. He was always fond of studying and wanted to stay alone. It was his decision to move, even though I didn’t want him to go. However, I could not stop him because I left my home at the age of 14… He does his own laundry, he is a good cook, does the utensils and doesn’t even want to buy expensive clothes. In fact, he goes to a second-hand store, Thrifty, to buy clothes because he doesn’t believe in wastage.”
