On Sunday, the Bollywood fraternity came together to pay their respects to the legendary actor and filmmaker Manoj Kumar. Well, during the prayer meet a surprising moment was caught involving veteran actress Jaya Bachchan. The solemn prayer meet of the 87-year-old icon turned controversial, after a video of Jaya Bachchan angrily confronting an elderly woman went viral.

In an Instagram video, Jaya Bachchan is seen standing  at the venue, when an elderly woman in a green saree taps on her shoulder. While the gesture seemed innocent, it clearly didn’t sit well with Jaya. Surprised, she slowly turned around, grabbed the woman’s hand and pulled her aside firmly. Her displeasure became even more apparent as she glanced at a man, likely to be woman’s husband, who appeared to be recording the moment on his phone. Jaya Bachchan seemed visibly upset, said something stern, and then walked away. The clip quickly went viral, sparking opinions on social media.

As soon as the video grabbed netizens notice, they delivered all sorts of reactions. The prayer meet witnessed the presence of several Bollywood luminaries, including Aamir Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Rakesh Roshan, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Esha Deol, Krishika Lulla, and singer Sonu Nigam.

Manoj Kumar fondly remembered as ‘Bharat Kumar’ for his iconic portrayals in patriotic films such as Shaheed, Upkar, Purab Aur Paschim, and Roti, Kapda Aur Makaan, passed away due to age-related complications at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. The legendary actor is survived by his wife Shashi, and their two sons.
