As Rishabh Pant introduced Rathi to Narine, Nicholas Pooran couldn't resist teasing the young spinner. "So, tell me, he doesn’t celebrate. Why do you celebrate?" Pooran asked. Without missing a beat, Rathi replied, “I’m from Delhi.” The comment had Narine, Pooran, and Pant in fits of laughter. Pant also joked, "He’s a ticket collector. Narine’s a wicket collector. He’s writing the cheques."

Digvesh Rathi's disciplinary issues

Rathi’s notebook celebration, though a nod to West Indies pacer Kesrick Williams, has caused him some disciplinary issues. The young spinner had first caught attention when he used the notebook celebration after dismissing Priyansh Arya in the match against Punjab Kings. The BCCI fined him 50% of his match fees for celebrating despite a prior warning.

Despite his earlier fine, Rathi continued his enthusiastic celebrations after dismissing Mumbai Indians' Naman Dhir, which led to the second fine. This lead to second demerit points, on top of the one he received during LSG’s match against Punjab Kings on April 1.
