Shocking! Woman Tied To Electric Pole, Assaulted By Locals In Punjab's Rajpura; Several Booked, 2 Arrested After Video Goes Viral
Patiala: A shocking incident surfaced from Punjab's Patiala district, where a woman was tied to an electric pole and assaulted by locals. The incident took place on Thursday in Rajpura city's Jansua village after the woman's 20-year-old boy eloped with another married woman living in the neighbourhood. The incident was recorded on camera, and the video is going viral.
Meanwhile, over a dozen people, including a woman, were booked by the police, reported Hindustan Times. Two people were arrested by the police in connection with the matter. As per the report, the woman, who lives in Ludhiana, went to Jansua village to meet her children.

The in-laws of the woman attacked her. They even made her video after tying her to the pole. After the video went viral, the police rushed to the spot and rescued the woman. She was taken to a government hospital, where she is currently undergoing treatment.
The woman said that she did not know about the whereabouts of her son. She also demanded strict action against the accused.
A case has been registered against over a dozen people under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Section 3 (causing slight harm) and 74 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty).
Station House office of Sadar Police Station, Rashwinder Singh, said that two people - Kuldeep and Bittu, were arrested in the matter.
A detailed investigation has been launched by the police.
