Kulchinder bags gold in golf meet
In the third edition of the CSR Reddy Memorial Civil Services Golf Meet organised by the Chandigarh Golf Association (CGA), Kulchinder Singh won the net event (veteran’s officers) with a total score 62. Jagmohan Verma claimed second position with a score of 64, while HS Bhullar bagged the third with a score of 66.
In the serving officers’ category, Mahenderpal Gurjar (63), Chandan Singh (67) and Ranbir S Sanghwan (69) bagged the first three positions, respectively. In the gross score event, Rakesh Jolly (75), Amardeep S Brar (76) and Jagdev S Mahi (78) won the top three positions, respectively, at the end of the veteran’s officers category, while in the serving officers’ event, Aaditya Gupta (79), Rajpal Singh (80) and Rajendra Meena (83) bagged the top three position, respectively.
The competition was held in two categories of serving and veteran officers. The event was attended by 73 participants of the civil service of Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. SK Sharma, IPS (retd), president, CGA, inaugurated the golf event by teeing off at the Chandigarh Golf Club. The event concluded with the prize distribution by the chief guest, SK Sharma.
In the minors’ event, Ajay Kanwar (280 yards) won the longest drive event, while Jitender Sihag (21.2 ft) won the closest to the pin event.
