Bhopal: Congress To Lay Siege To Lokayukta Office
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Congress has decided to lay siege to Lokayukta office here on April 12 to protest bail granted to former RTO constable Saurabh Sharma and his two aides in a disproportionate assets case, said party leader here on Sunday.
Special Court grants bail to Sharma and his two aides
The Special Court of Lokayukta on April 1 had granted bail to Sharma and his two aides - Chetan Singh Gaur and Sharad Jaiswal as the agency failed to file a charge sheet within 60 days.
The three got bail because SPE failed to file charge sheet on time
Congress state general secretary Sanjay Kamle said that the party leaders have decided to protest against the ‘poor working’ of the special police establishment and Lokayukta organisation in the Saurabh Sharma case. The three got the bail, because SPE had failed to submit the charge sheet within 60-days, he added.
Kamle further alleged that Lokayukta was supporting the trio because big names, suspected to be behind the scam, may come to fore during the investigations. PCC president Jitu Patwari, leader of opposition Umang Singhar and other party leaders will join the protest, he added.
