Palghar Crime: 17-Year-Old Girl Alleges Repeated Sexual Assault, Threats In Vasai; Accused Named In FIR

Palghar, Maharashtra: A 17-year-old girl has filed a complaint alleging repeated sexual assault by a man who befriended her. The incident reportedly occurred between June 2024 and March 30, 2025, in the Vasai East area. Based on the complaint, the Valiv police have registered a case against the accused.

According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed by the victim, the accused, who worked at a construction site of Agarwal Sky Heights building near her residence in Sterling Heights, Madhuban, Vasai East, befriended her under false pretenses.

The victim alleged that the accused forcibly took her behind the Agarwal Sky Heights building and sexually assaulted her. Subsequently, he allegedly threatened her against revealing the incident to her family. The complaint further states that the accused then took her to an isolated, deserted area behind Box Treat and repeatedly sexually assaulted her. During these incidents, he allegedly took nude photographs of the victim on his mobile phone.

The victim further accused the man of threatening to show these photographs to her family members and make them viral. Using these threats, he allegedly continued to sexually assault her repeatedly.

The Valiv police registered the case on April 5, 2025, under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), including sections related to rape and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. 

While the accused has been named in the FIR, sources stated that he had not been arrested as of the time of the report. The investigation is currently underway.
