Bank Holiday Tomorrow: Are Banks Open Or Closed On April 7? Find Out HERE
As we move ahead into the first month of the new fiscal year, it is time for individuals to make their financial plans. From selecting tax regime, filing returns, to deciding new investments, there are a lot of choices to be made and errands to be completed. However, to help avoid any inconvenience, customers should keep a tab of the holiday calendar of banks before fixing their bank-related appointments.
The bank holiday list is published by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) every year. Typically, banks remain closed for the public on national holidays, all Sundays, second and fourth Saturdays, and regional celebrations. While the list is made in advance, any changes to bank schedules is informed by the banking regulator via special notifications. Therefore, it is crucial to keep a tab of both the holiday list and the RBI website for any urgent notifications.
Are Banks Open Or Closed Tomorrow?
The holiday calendar published by the RBI states that tomorrow is a bank holiday for banks operating in Meghalaya. This holiday has been announced to mark the occasion of the Shad Suk Mynsiem, a festival celebrated in Meghalaya. It is an annual spring dance festival performed to celebrate harvesting and sowing.
While banks in Meghalaya will be closed on April 7, making this a long weekend for bank employees, banks across the country will continue to remain operational. Even during bank holidays, customers can easily access digital banking services, mobile banking, and ATMs without any inconvenience. Any hindrance in these services is informed to the customers well in advance.
