Ram Charan reveals 'First Shot' glimpse from 'Peddi' and release date

Telugu star Ram Charan has announced that his latest film Peddi will be hitting theatres on March 27, 2026. The update was shared by the RRR actor on Sunday on the occasion of Ram Navami. Charan shared the update on his official social media handles.

"Here's the #PeddiFirstShot Happy Sri Rama Navami #PEDDI will see you in cinemas 27th March, 2026," he captioned the post alongside a 'First Shot' glimpse from the film showing him participating in a cricket match.

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana and backed by Mythri Movie Makers, director Sukumar's company Sukumar Writings, and producer Venkata Satish Kilaru's Vriddhi Cinemas, Peddi marks Ram Charan's 16th film.

The title of the film, along with Charan's rustic look that comprises a long hair, beard, nose ring, and a cigar. Netizens were quick to compare the look to that of Allu Arjun's in the two Pushpa films, given how the latter sported a similarly unkempt look in the blockbusters directed by Sukumar.

Buchi Babu Sana is a National Award winner, for Best Telugu feature film, for his maiden feature Uppena (2021). Before his debut, he worked as an assistant director and writer on Sukumar's hit film Rangasthalam. Naturally, Sukumar being involved as a producer on both Peddi and Uppena is an added boost for Buchi Babu Sana.

The cast also features Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu and Divyenndu. Shot by R Rathnavelu, it has music by AR Rahman, production design by Avinash Kolla and editing by Navin Nooli.

Charan last appeared in S Shankar's Game Changer.
