Swami Ramdev Calls For Character Like Lord Ram In All On His 31st Year Of Sannyas

Haridwar, April 06: At the Yoga Bhavan auditorium located in Patanjali Wellness, Phase-II, the 31st Sannyas Day of Swami Ramdev Ji Maharaj was celebrated with sacred Navratri Yajna, Vedic rituals, and Kanya Pujan. Acharya Balkrishna Ji adorned Swamiji Maharaj with a garland and extended greetings on the occasion of his 31st Sannyas Day.

On this occasion, Swami Ramdev Ji said, “Today, I have completed 30 years as a sannyasi and am entering the 31st year of renounced life.” He said that a sannyasi has only one duty — to uphold the religion of yoga through dedication to national service, service to humanity, and the spirit of the age, and to offer this nation not only health but also prosperity and values. That is why Patanjali Yogpeeth is continuously ascending the steps of culture-based prosperity.

During the program, Acharya Balkrishna Ji said that revered Swami Ji Maharaj, by taking sannyas, has brought glory to Indian culture, traditions, and values across the world and has given recognition to India's glorious heritage on the global stage.

A procession was also taken out on this occasion, in which revered sannyasis, Swami Ramdev Ji, Acharya Balkrishna Ji, and Yoga Acharya Swami Lal Ji of Divya Yog Mandir Ram Mulakh Darbar participated. The procession reached the sacred banks of Mother Ganga, where six learned brothers and one learned sister were initiated into Naishtik Brahmacharya.

Before this, in a special program organized during Navratri, Patanjali Yogpeeth's head Swami Ramdev Ji and General Secretary Acharya Balkrishna Ji extended Navratri and Ram Navami greetings to all countrymen. Swami Ji and Acharya Ji washed the feet of young girls, served them food, and received their blessings. On this occasion, Swami Ramdev Ji said that India is the land of Sanatan culture, the rishi tradition, the Vedic tradition, of Ram and Krishna, of Mother Bhavani, and of divine feminine energy. We must destroy the demons of darkness and ignorance, eradicate all negative thoughts, and establish the restraint and character of Ram within ourselves.

In the program, Acharya Balkrishna Ji said that Navratri holds a special place in Indian culture, tradition, and Sanatan Dharma. He said, “May Mother Bhagwati bless everyone, bring welfare, health, prosperity, joy, and happiness into everyone's life. With this prayer, we offered oblations in the Mahayajna during the nine-day ritual. Through Kanya Pujan, we must overcome our vices, evils, addictions, and demonic tendencies. Holy Navratri is a part of India’s rich culture and tradition, and it is our collective duty to uphold it with nobility and scientific understanding.”

All respected elders, sannyasis, and staff members of the Patanjali Yogpeeth family extended their greetings to Swami Ji and received his blessings.
