Direct human interaction with wild animals prohibited
Netizens saw the act as kind and caring, however, the Forest Department took it seriously and imposed strict action on it.
According to the forest officials, the act was a violation of wildlife protection rules, which strictly prohibit direct human interaction with wild animals. As a result, Satyanarayan Gurjar was removed from his job.
The department said that even though the action was done with a humane intention, it still broke the rules that were meant to protect sensitive species like cheetahs. Officials are now conducting a further investigation, and action might be taken against other staff involved as well.
Incident sparks debate online
Cheetahs were recently brought to Kuno National Park as part of a conservation project. The park plays a key role in protecting wildlife, and any close contact with the animals is banned to ensure their safety.
As per experts, such interactions can harm the cheetahs and disturb their natural behavior.
The incident has sparked an online debate. Some supported the man for his kind gesture, and others agreed with the strict enforcement of wildlife protection laws.
