After finishing his schooling, Sarvesh Mehtani set his sights on clearing the JEE and getting into an IIT. While he aimed to secure a place in the top 10, his consistent hard work and smart preparation helped him go beyond expectations. He topped the JEE examination and earned a spot among the nation’s highest-ranking students. It is to be noted that Sarvesh Mehtani secured All India Rank(AIR) 1 in the JEE Advanced 2017. He secured 339 marks out of 366 in JEE Advanced 2017.
Sarvesh Mehtani was born in Chandigarh. According to a Prabhat Khabar report, his father, Parvesh Mehtani, works as an officer in the Income Tax Department, while his mother, Raj Bala, is employed in the Industrial Training Department of Haryana.
Sarvesh Mehtani never considered studying a burden. His parents shared that since his school days, he consistently revised his syllabus before going to sleep — a habit they believe significantly contributed to his success.
As per a report cited by Prabhat Khabar, Sarvesh revealed in an interview that he used to unwind by listening to music, watching cartoons, and playing badminton — activities that helped him stay refreshed and focused during his intense study routine.
“I’m currently working as a Quantitative Trader developing high frequency strategies to trade financial derivatives. I am Computer Science and Engineering Graduate from IIT Bombay, India. I am interested in Machine Learning, Statistics and Mathematics (INMO Awardee),” reads his LinkedIn bio.
