Participants interact at ‘Yayavar Baithak’

“Yayavar Baithak”, a meet and greet evening with speakers, authors, moderators and educationists was organised at Hotel Regent Park here this evening.

The ‘Baithak’ was a chance to interact with all the participants in tomorrow’s literary festival being held at KL Saigal Memorial Hall. Deepak Bali, Advisor to Punjab Heritage and Tourism Promotion Board, released the symbolic illustration of Yayavar Literary Festival along with Sangat Ram and other dignitaries. The illustration was beautifully crafted and readied by famous designer Archit Chouhan. It showcased eight books and a nib.

Bali praised the efforts of the team and shared that he had been thinking of having this kind of literary fest for some years now. He further added that he would support it and would bring its next edition in a bigger form.

Since music is always a part of literature, Ajay Kaushal from Chandigarh took the dignitaries down the memory lane with soulful old melodies. Young caricature artist Khushal Singh brought a smile on the faces of attendees. “Yayavar always promotes young adults. Khushal is a student and earns through his art to fund his own and sister’s fees,” said Shefali Arora, the co-organiser. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, principal, KMV College, shared a few poems from her book. The event was attended by Nirmal Mahana, AAP spokesperson of J&K.
