Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank posts Rs 307 crore gross profit

Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank has achieved a gross profit of Rs 307 crore for the financial year 2024-25, ending on 31st March 2025. Bank Chairman, Shri Davender Shyam, expressed his satisfaction with the results, highlighting the bank has once again demonstrated its strength by consistently increasing its business. For the financial year 2024-25, the bank registered a growth of approximately Rs 2000 crore, bringing its gross business to Rs 27,431.42 crore.

The bank’s deposits rose by more than Rs 1000 crore, reaching Rs 16,334.37 crore, while loans and advances climbed to Rs 11,097.05 crore. A key indicator of financial health, the bank successfully reduced its Gross NPA to 3.66 per cent and Net NPA to 0.26 per cent thanks to an improved recovery process.

In line with its commitment to modernisation, the bank has bolstered its information technology systems and is offering cutting-edge services, including Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, UPI, PhonePe, Google Pay, and BHIM. The bank achieved a record Rs 5,300 crore in digital transactions during the year.

Shri Sharwan Manta, the bank’s Managing Director, congratulated the cooperative colleagues, shareholders, customers, and employees for this achievement, stressing that these results reaffirm the bank’s position as the leading choice for the people of the state. He attributed the success to the bank’s customer-centric approach, which includes the introduction of new loan schemes tailored to various sectors.

The bank distributed loans worth Rs 100 crore to more than 39,500 women under the Sashakt Mahila Loan Yojana, provided over Rs 2,000 crore in loans to 74,000 farmers through the Kisan Credit Card scheme, and approved Rs 1,500 crore in housing loans to over 11,500
