Chandigarh MP misleading residents, claims BJP
The Chandigarh BJP has launched a sharp attack on Congress leader and city MP Manish Tewari, stating that his political career had been marked by repeated failures.
UT BJP media incharge Sanjeev Rana said that first he served as MP from Ludhiana, where he made no significant contribution to development, and the people rejected him. Then, he moved to Anandpur Sahib, failed again, and now he had come to Chandigarh to try his luck.
Rana questioned, “If Tewari is an experienced lawyer and politician, why does he keep changing his constituency? Why did he leave Ludhiana and Anandpur Sahib?” The answer is simple, the public saw through his empty promises and non-performance, he added.
“Now, in Chandigarh too, he was trying to repeat the same pattern — no real work, only statements and blame games, Rana said. But this time, the BJP and the aware citizens of Chandigarh will not allow him to fool them,” he added.
Rana emphasised that Tewari’s political style had always been about drama, not development. He said the BJP stood firmly with the people of Chandigarh and would continue to do so. “The party is committed to making Chandigarh one of India’s most developed and smart cities, and the Central government is already working tirelessly in that direction,” he stated.
“Tewari must understand that today’s citizens are smart. They vote based on work, not words,” Rana added.
