Big scare for Japan and South Korea as this head of state visits military camp, Donald Trump’s policies…, might be a warning signal to …
New Delhi: Donald Trump’s tariff war has created a chaotic economic situation worldwide. There is turmoil from the Atlantic to the Pacific region. Along with this, signs of another change are clearly beginning to be heard. The world has now entered a mode of strategic change. In fact, the situation of America’s two traditional allies, Japan and South Korea, has deteriorated due to decisions made by the Trump administration. America has always stood by these two countries in every circumstance, but conditions have now changed due to Trump’s policies. In this changed scenario, Japan and South Korea have been compelled to alter their strategies. Amidst all this turmoil, North Korea’s dictator Kim Jong Un has stirred up fear from Tokyo to Seoul by visiting military bases.
According to information provided on Saturday, April 5 by North Korea’s state news agency KCNA, Kim Jong Un visited special operation units at a military training base of the Korean People’s Army on Friday, April 4. Kim Jong Un went to the observation post to inspect general tactical training and a small arms shooting contest. It is noteworthy that North Korea’s special operation units are known for special missions.
Kim Jong Un’s visit to the special operation unit is not a routine event. The North Korean dictator’s actions have raised concerns in Japan and South Korea. Whether such a visit to a military base signifies a major crisis will be determined in the future.
According to KCNA reports, Kim Jong Un stated that strengthening the special operations unit is currently a key aspect of the army strategy. Kim further mentioned that enhancing special operations units is an important part of the current military strategy, and he outlined several key tasks aimed at increasing their operational capacity. KCNA does not provide details of the key tasks.
Kim also tested a sniper rifle intended for the special operations unit, expressing satisfaction with the performance and power of the sniper rifle developed by North Korean technology. South Korea has stated that North Korea’s special units are among the thousands of soldiers that Pyongyang has deployed in Russia to fight in the Ukraine war.
Analysts say that North Korea could benefit by supplying weapons and soldiers based on operational experience in the battlefield. Meanwhile, Kyiv states that they have suffered heavy losses. Moscow and Pyongyang initially dismissed reports of deployment, but in October 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin did not deny that North Korean soldiers are in Russia, and a North Korean official stated that any such move would be legitimate.
