Akasa Airlines flight service has now started from Darbhanga Airport to Delhi. With this, three flights will be available on the Delhi route. Earlier, flights were being operated from Darbhanga to Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Bangalore. SpiceJet had stopped Bangalore ticket booking which will start again from April 21. Akasa has started one flight each for Delhi and Mumbai.

With the start of Akasa’s flight service from Darbhanga Airport to Delhi, three flights will be available for passengers daily on this route. Currently, one flight each of Indigo and SpiceJet was providing service on the Darbhanga Airport to Delhi route. Currently, one Indigo flight each is being operated between Hyderabad and Kolkata.

SpiceJet has one flight per day on the Mumbai air route. One Indigo flight is flying on the Mumbai route four days a week on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Due to some reason, SpiceJet company has stopped booking tickets on the Bengaluru air route. The airline company will resume the flight by starting booking tickets from April 21.

Akasa Airlines got 1-1 slot for Delhi-Mumbai

It is said that Akasa Airlines has got one slot each on Darbhanga to Delhi and Mumbai air route. Flight started on Delhi air route from Friday, ticket booking from Darbhanga to Mumbai will start by the end of April. This will provide relief to passengers in ticket prices and travel on Delhi and Mumbai air route.

However, 11 pairs of aircraft have been announced from Darbhanga Airport in the summer schedule, but the flight could not be started as per the summer schedule.

Let us tell you that Darbhanga Airport started on 8 November 2020 under the Udan scheme. First, SpiceJet company started flights from Darbhanga to Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. After this, Indigo Airlines operated flights between Darbhanga and Kolkata and Hyderabad. On February 2, 2024, flight service was started between Darbhanga and Ayodhya for four days a week, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

This service was limited to a few days. After this, booking of tickets between Darbhanga and Bengaluru was stopped. On the occasion of Chhath and Diwali, flight was started again between Darbhanga and Bengaluru on 27 October 2024. SpiceJet increased the number of flights due to high booking of passengers between Darbhanga and Delhi. For about a month, nine pairs of aircraft operated from Darbhanga Airport.

On December 1, one flight was added on the Mumbai route. From December 12, 2024, one IndiGo flight is flying between Darbhanga and Mumbai every day. The number decreased in January due to unfavourable weather for flying. The flight service was back on track from February. Due to this, 16 to 18 IndiGo and SpiceJet flights started plying on various routes every day.

Indigo flight 6E7234 coming from Kolkata to Darbhanga reached seven minutes before the scheduled time of 11:55.

SpiceJet flight SG 475 coming from Delhi to Darbhanga reached at 12:15 before the scheduled time.

Indigo flight 6E535 coming from Mumbai to Darbhanga reached four minutes before the scheduled time of 1 o’clock.

Indigo flight 6E537 coming from Hyderabad to Darbhanga reached six minutes before the scheduled time of 2:20.

Indigo flight 6E360 from Delhi to Darbhanga reached two minutes before the scheduled time of 4 o’clock.
