Goddess Siddhidatri And Lord Ram: Celebrated On The Same Day
Lord Ram shares a deep connection with the Divine Mother and Shakti. During Vasant Navratri, he manifests with her power, and in Sharad Navratri, he uses that power. On the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri, Ram was born, and Goddess Siddhidatri is also worshipped on this day—hence, both festivals are celebrated together.
The Special Connection Between Navratri And Lord Ram
On one hand, Lord Ram was born on the Navami tithi (during Chaitra Navratri), and on the other hand (during Ashwin Navratri), he worshipped the Divine Power on this same tithi. Ram Navami marks the birth of Lord Ram, who incarnated to destroy demonic forces, while on this same day, Goddess Durga achieved victory over demons.
It is said that before his battle with Ravana, Lord Ram worshipped Goddess Durga, and only then did he attain victory. On Mahanavami, Lord Ram worshipped Maa Siddhidatri, and the next day, on Vijayadashami, he defeated Ravana.
