Ruturaj Gaikwad recovers from elbow injury, no Dhoni as captain
Fans at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai were anticipating Mahendra Singh Dhoni to lead the toss but were met with Ruturaj Gaikwad instead. Dhoni, also known as 'Thala', has passed the captaincy baton to Gaikwad for Chennai Super Kings' IPL 2024 season. CSK’s IPL triumphs under Dhoni came in 2010, 2011, 2018, 2021, and 2023.
