Along with this, many big announcements have also been made regarding new teaching methods, grading system and practical learning. The board has not only changed the books, but has tried to bring a big change by changing something in the entire system.
Now board exams twice in 1 year
The board said that from this session, now board exams will be conducted twice a year for class 10th students, the first board exam will be held in February and the second exam in April, that is, if you fail in the March exam in class 10th, then you can try to pass in the second chance by improving yourself in April, for this you will not have to wait for a year. However, in Intermediate i.e. class 12th, the exam has to be given only once as before.
Changes in grading system too
Apart from this, the board has also changed the grading systems, in which a 9-point scale has been introduced, which will be applicable in the results of class 10th, 12th i.e. now there will be no division like A1, A2, B1 etc. but a 9 point scale will be available. One out of every 8 students who pass will now get a grade slot.
Skill based subjects will be included
The CBSE board is emphasizing on skill based education by including subjects like Information Technology, Computer Applications and Artificial Intelligence for class 10th students, apart from this, it has been made mandatory for the students to choose one language from English or Hindi during class 9th and 10th. At the same time, in class 12th, the board has included 4 new skill electives, which include Land Transportation Associate, Electronics and Hardware, Physical Acuity Trainer and Design Thinking and Innovation. Also, in the 12th board exam, students will now be allowed to use basic calculators.
If you fail, what will happen now?
To pass the class 10th board exam, students will have to score the same old 33% marks, if you score less marks then you will fail, for example, if a student fails in any subject like Science, Maths, Social Science, then he will be able to pass, understand it like this that if a student fails in any subject, then he can replace it with skill based or optional language subject. For example, if you fail in Maths, then the marks of skill based subject will replace the marks of Maths.
