Clearing the Civil Services examination requires years of hard work, perseverance, and determination. The competitive exam is held once in a year. Every year, thousands of aspirants appear for the examination; however only a few candidates are able to qualify it. In this article, we will talk about the success story of Kamya Mishra, a 2019 batch IPS officer from the Bihar cadre.

Hailing from Rairangpur in the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha, Kamya cleared the UPSC exam at just 22 years old. Initially, she was assigned to the Himachal Pradesh cadre. However, following her marriage to fellow batchmate and IPS officer Awadhesh Saroj Dixit, she was transferred to the Bihar cadre. Awadhesh, originally from Rajasthan’s Karauli district, is currently serving in Gopalganj, Bihar.
