Indian national stabbed to death in Canada, Indian High Commission in close contact with kin
OTTAWA, Apr 5: An Indian national was stabbed to death in Rockland, near Ottawa. The Indian High Commission has expressed sadness over the incident and said they are in close contact with the local community association to provide all assistance.
The Indian High Commission said:
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic death of an Indian national in Rockland near Ottawa, due to stabbing. Police has stated a suspect has been taken into custody.
“We are in close contact through a local community association to provide all possible assistance to the bereaved kin.”
According to reports, one person was killed in an incident at a residence on Lalonde Street in Rockland, Canada on Friday, April 4.
The incident occurred in the afternoon on Lalonde Street. However police have not released further details about the nature of the incident.
Authorities confirmed that one individual has been taken into custody in connection with the incident.
Rockland is part of the City of Clarence-Rockland, situated east of Ottawa. (UNI)
