During April 5 to 8, the temperature might remain around 39 to 42 degrees. After this, there will be no respite from the heat even on April 9 and 10. The heat of the sun will be unbearable. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum normal temperature in the second week of April is 35.1 degrees and the minimum normal temperature is around 20 degrees.

When the maximum temperature in the plains is 40 degrees or more. Also it is 4.5 to 6.4 degrees more than normal. Severe heat wave is declared when the maximum temperature is 6.4 degrees more than normal. Or it is more than 45 degrees. Warning of intense heat in many areas of Rajasthan

After heavy rains in many parts of Kerala, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday evening issued an ‘Orange Alert’ for four out of 14 districts of the state. Alerts were issued for Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad and Malappuram. The Meteorological Department has predicted moderate rain with thunderstorms and strong winds up to 40 kmph at one or two places in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam and Ernakulam districts. Issuance of an ‘orange alert’ could mean ‘very heavy rainfall’, which could range from six cm to 20 cm.

States that are expected to experience more than normal heat wave days include Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, northern parts of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Some states like Uttar Pradesh (eastern region), Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Odisha may experience heat wave conditions for 10 to 11 days during this period.
