Ram Navami Security Tightened Across India: Maharashtra, UP, Bihar on High Alert
As Ram Navami approaches, multiple states across India—particularly Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar—have been placed on high alert. In Maharashtra, the government has directed police to strictly maintain law and order, especially in sensitive areas. Drone surveillance is being used for monitoring, and additional police forces have been deployed in areas like Mumbai’s Andheri, Malad, Kandivali, and Borivali, where traditional processions pass through narrow lanes.Mumbai Police has conducted route marches and flag marches involving 25-30 officers and over 100 personnel to ensure peace. The police have urged people not to believe in rumors and to maintain communal harmony. Social media is also under strict watch to prevent the spread of misinformation.In Uttar Pradesh, especially in Ayodhya, grand arrangements are in place as the city expects around 10 lakh devotees for Ram Navami. Processions in Western UP districts like Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Aligarh, and Moradabad are being closely monitored with drones and CCTV. Senior officials in Lucknow are reviewing preparations through video conferencing.In Bihar, DJ usage has been completely banned. Police have already seized over 230 DJ setups in Rohtas district. Meetings with peace committees and social media surveillance are ongoing to avoid unrest during the elections and ongoing protests over the Waqf bill.
