1 Dead In Stabbing Attack
According to Canadian news broadcaster CBC, one person died in Clarence-Rockland while a second person was arrested, said the provincial police.
The incident took place near Lalonde Street -- roughly 40 kilometres east of downtown Ottawa -- just before 3 p.m. Friday, Ontario Provincial Police told Radio-Canada, without revealing the identity of the deceased or the attacker.
The police have not detailed how the victim died or what charges -- if any -- the person in custody faces. The cops would provide a news release which would provide more information on the incident.
For now, residents in Rockland should expect a higher than normal police presence, the police said.
