A Wedding In BGMI? Real Couple, Star Guests & A Virtual Shaadi You Can Attend

BGMI Wedding: In a first-of-its-kind campaign, Krafton India is bringing together gaming, fashion, music, and celebrity in what it’s calling "India’s Biggest In-Game Shaadi Bash". The celebration centres around a real-life couple who met while playing Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) — and are now tying the knot, virtually and in real life.

The couple, Tanupreet and Jaspreet from Meerut — known in the game as OnFire X Hades and OnFire X Veronica — first connected during a BGMI squad match. Their in-game bond grew into a real-world relationship, which will now be commemorated through a multi-day digital wedding event hosted across BGMI’s official Instagram platform.

BGMI Wedding Schedule & Star Line-Up

The virtual celebrations are set to unfold as follows:

  • April 8 – Mehendi
  • April 9 – Sangeet, featuring a performance by singer Benny Dayal
  • April 11 – Shaadi

In a high-fashion twist, the bride and groom will be dressed in BGMI-themed wedding ensembles designed by renowned couturier Ritu Beri. “It’s a fusion of couture and combat,” Krafton noted, blending gaming aesthetics with traditional Indian fashion.

Other celebrity participants include comedian Tanmay Bhat, content creators Purav Jha and Mritika Trivedi, and Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra, who joined the fun with a humorous post about not receiving an invite. Popular gaming influencers Mortal, Scout, Kashvi, and Mamba will also be part of the celebrations, further fuelling buzz within the gaming community.

A Campaign Rooted in Community

The initiative, according to Krafton, is a celebration of the BGMI player base as much as the couple themselves. “This campaign is not just a milestone for the couple — it’s a tribute to the vibrant and passionate BGMI community,” the company said in a statement.

By highlighting a love story that began in-game, the brand aims to showcase the emotional connections and shared experiences that can emerge from online platforms.

Gamers Invited to Join the Celebration

The campaign includes several in-game activations, surprise content drops, and interactive features. BGMI players and fans are encouraged to follow the game’s official social channels on Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook to stay updated on the festivities.

With this campaign, Krafton is pushing the boundaries of how brands can connect with Indian youth — by turning a wedding into a multi-platform gaming and entertainment spectacle.
