Fact Check: Viral Clip Of Mahakumbh Girl Monalisa In Orange Sheer Outfit Is A Deepfake
The Verdict [Fake]
The original video features a model and actor, Insha Khan, whose face was swapped with Monalisa Bhosle’s in the viral clip.

What is the claim?
A video purportedly showing Monalisa Bhosle, who gained fame after her images went viral during the Mahakumbh festival, has been shared online with claims that it shows her in an orange sheer outfit at an event, speaking to the media.
Since the festival, Bhosle has been in the news following reports of her signing a Hindi film.
An X user shared the viral clip with a Hindi caption, translating to, “The first step towards destruction is that the director who launched Prayagraj Wali #MONALISA has got stuck in a rape case, what will be her future.”

How did we find the facts?
A closer examination of the viral clip revealed inconsistencies at specific points, such as uneven eyes and changes in skin tone. We could also trace the original video that shows another person in the video.
A reverse image search of this clip led us to the original video posted on Instagram by actor and model Insha Khan (archived here) on March 1, 2025. A comparison between the two confirmed that Bhosle’s face had been swapped with Khan’s in the viral clip.
A review of Khan’s Instagram account showed multiple posts of her wearing the same attire. The posts are available here and here.
Furthermore, we found that Khan is currently participating in Kink 2, a reality show streaming on Atrangii, an OTT platform. The show is hosted by Poonam Pandey, an Indian actor and model.
The Deepfakes Analysis Unit (DAU), an initiative by the Misinformation Combat Alliance (MCA), of which Logically Facts is a part, also analyzed the video using the online tool Hive AI. The findings highlighted irregularities such as an unnaturally sharp chin compared to the rest of the face and attire. A distinct sheen on the face also did not match the surrounding lighting, which indicated that the video was AI-generated.
