Bank holiday means an official day when banks, government offices, and businesses are closed. Bank holidays are announced by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to celebrate festivals, religious and cultural events. They are significant for government offices and businesses. However, some holidays are celebrated nationwide and some at the state level.
