Lion In The Kitchen! Carnivore's Comfy Perch In A Gujarati Kitchen: WATCH
A lion was caught sitting on top of a kitchen wall in a house in Gujarat's Amreli district for about two hours. The sight made the resident run out of the house.
The unexpected intrusion by the lion into Mulubhai Rambhai Lakhannotra's home in Kovaya village startled the sleeping family, who immediately fled and alerted fellow villagers. According to The Indian Express, about five other lions were seen roaming around the village market. One of them had strayed from a nearby forest and made its way through the residential area before slipping into Lakhanotra’s kitchen.

In February, traffic came to a brief standstill on the Bhavnagar-Somnath Highway in Gujarat after an Asiatic lion unexpectedly appeared on the road, causing vehicles to halt for nearly 15 minutes. The lion was also spotted crossing a bridge in Gujarat's Amreli district, making cars, trucks, and bikes come to a halt to let it pass.
In April 2024, a leopard entered a home in North Delhi’s Wazirabad and injured three people. In another incident in 2016 when an adult leopard wandered into a village in the Jagatpur area. Following several resident-reported sightings, forest officials eventually captured the animal and relocated it to Rajaji National Park in Uttarakhand.
