Salman Khan's 'Sikandar' Struggles at the Box Office, Drops 50% on Day 4

Salman Khan’s latest release, 'Sikandar', has hit theatres but is struggling to pull audiences in. Unlike his previous blockbusters, the film has not performed well at the box office and has seen a steep decline in earnings. Despite featuring Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, and Kajal Aggarwal in key roles, 'Sikandar' has failed to meet industry expectations.

On Day 4, the film’s earnings dropped by almost 50%, indicating a worrying trend for its box office prospects.

After four days, the total net collection in India for 'Sikandar' stands at ₹84.25 crore.

Here’s the day-wise box office collection for 'Sikandar' in India:

Globally, 'Sikandar' has earned ₹123.75 crore, including ₹35 crore from the overseas market. However, Salman Khan Films, the production house behind the film, claims that 'Sikandar' has grossed ₹141.5 crore worldwide.

'Sikandar' Falls Short of Expectations
Compared to Salman Khan’s previous films, 'Sikandar' is underperforming. His last theatrical release, 'Tiger 3', collected ₹21.1 crore on its fourth day, significantly higher than 'Sikandar's' ₹9.75 crore.

Before its release, industry analysts predicted that 'Sikandar' would be a box office blockbuster, but the film’s performance has fallen short.

'Sikandar' Review: A Missed Opportunity?

As per our in-house review:"Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the filmmaker behind 'Ghajini', 'Sikandar' fails to match his previous successes. Murugadoss even claimed that this film was better than 'Ghajini', but watching it, you can’t help but laugh at that statement. The film lacks a compelling story and relies solely on action and romance – neither of which are executed well. The narrative jumps so much that it becomes hard to follow. Instead of fully utilizing Salman Khan’s star power, Murugadoss delivers a confusing and unengaging film."

With box office numbers declining and audience response being lukewarm, 'Sikandar' will need a strong turnaround in the coming days to recover its investment.

Will Salman Khan’s star power help the film sustain at the box office, or is it heading for an early exit? Only time will tell.
