Salman Khan Opens Up On Lack of Support From Bollywood For His Films, Says ‘Everybody Needs It’
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, whose latest big-screen release 'Sikandar' is currently playing in theatres, recently spoke about the lack of support he receives from the film industry. In a candid interview, Salman admitted that while he, too, needs encouragement and backing, many in the Bollywood fraternity assume he is self-sufficient and doesn’t require it.
During a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, the interviewer pointed out how many of Salman’s colleagues refrain from promoting his films, despite the fact that he actively champions projects by his peers, regardless of their budget or scale.
“Unko aisa lagta hoga ki zaroorat nahin padti mujhe. (Maybe they think that I don’t need their support.) But sabko zaroorat padti hai. (Everybody needs support, including me),” Salman stated.
Salman Khan Supports Upcoming Releases
Even as he addressed the lack of support for his own films, Salman took the opportunity to promote upcoming movies from his industry peers. He gave a special mention to Sunny Deol’s high-octane action film 'Jaat', which is scheduled for release on April 10, 2025.
He also praised 'L2: Empuraan', the much-awaited Malayalam blockbuster starring Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran, which hit theatres just two days before 'Sikandar'.
“I hope the film ('L2: Empuraan') does well... Then 'Jaat' is also coming soon. With the way Sunny is going, he will hit the ball out of the park,” Salman had said ahead of 'Sikandar’s' release.
